The glass bottom boat has now been launched at Kuruwitu. Visitors to the beach had great fun over Christmas looking at all the fish and coral from the boat.  There are plenty of life jackets and the crew can identify and point out the different species of fish, coral and plant life.

Trips on the glass bottom boat can be booked through John on 0735 244600.

Two 38 ft dhows have now been unofficially launched.  The dhows will enable the fishermen to go beyond the reef to catch fish which are plentiful and will soon be available to take visitors on creek tours in Kilifi. This will not only take pressure off the delicate reef nursery but will also enable the fishermen to catch bigger fish and bring an extra income for themselves and the ssociation.

The glass bottomed boat and the dhows are a fantastic boost to the project and will go a long way in helping to achieve the goals of the KCWA in 2010.
